Foundation for Research & Technology Hellas (FORTH)
The Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas established in 1983 is a renowned and highly competitive research organisation consistently ranked in the top 100 research and academic institutions in the EU. The Institute of Computer Science (ICS) is one of the six institutes of FORTH.
FORTH coordinates the project through the Computational Vision and Robotics Laboratory (CVRL) and the Distributed Computing Systems Laboratory (DCS) of the Institute of Computer Science and brings in experience to support research activities in knowledge abstraction and temporal reasoning, perception of user actions, as well as defining and developing the interoperable and secure IoT framework that sustAGE will operate on.
FORTH also leads WP4 Personalized multi-level recommendations on work ability and well-being and contributes to all technical WPs.
Centro Ricerche FIAT (CRF)
Centro Ricerche Fiat (CRF), founded in 1978, has the mission to develop and transfer innovative products, processes and methodologies in order to improve the competitiveness of the products of the Fiat Group.
Through the cooperation with a pan-European and increasingly global network of more than 1700 partners from industry and academia, CRF conducts collaborative research initiatives at national and international levels in partnership with all key public and private stakeholders concerned with Sustainable Mobility, targeting specifically the industrial exploitation of research.
CRF offers the real-life experimentation in the manufacturing industry, leads WP6 Real-life experiments and system evaluation and has an active role in WP2 sustAGE user-centered framework definition. CRF acts as the Quality manager of the project.
Software AG (SAG)
Software AG (SAG) helps organizations achieve their business objectives faster. The company’s big data, integration and business process technologies enable customers to drive operational efficiency, modernize their systems and optimize processes for smarter decisions and better service. SAG continuously investigates current trends, pursues future developments, test, classifies and channels new technologies, and estimates their market potential.
The company therefore has deep knowledge in all technological areas for enterprise software like services, business process management, cloud, streaming technologies and Big Data. As global software company and technology partner, SAG will contribute in sustAGE its extensive expertise in application and solution development and streaming analytics to help design the sustAGE prototype.
SAG provides technologies on real-time and predictive analytics on heterogeneous data and will support related activities within WP4 Personalized multi-level recommendations on work ability and well-being. SAG acts as the Innovation manager of the project and will be responsible for the Long-term Sustainability and Exploitation task of the project.
IMAGINARY Srl (IMA)
Milan based imaginary is one of the longest established and most respected European Serious Games companies (SME). Since its formation in 2004, Imaginary has built an enviable reputation for its multi-disciplinary specialisation in the rapidly growing serious games and gamification market place. Competencies cover the design and development of enabling technologies and data visualisation, specifically simulation systems, Serious Games, gamified processes, virtual immersive environments and advanced interactive technologies supporting eHealth and Smart Society topics, motivation, behavioural change, patients’ empowerment and awareness building as well as training and learning.
IMA in sustAGE will develop the game-based training activities base which will consist of different cognitive training mini-games for mobile devices with fixed progression levels considering the use of collaborative games setups (WP5) and will contribute in the mental training specifications and the assesment of game-based cognitive training on the user groups as part of WP2 and WP6 respectively.
FORSCHUNGSGESELLSCHAFT FUR ARBEITSPHYSIOLOGIE UND ARBEITSSCHUTZ EV (IFADO)
The IFADO Leibniz Research Centre for Working Environment and Human Factors, as a legal entity of the Leibniz Society, investigates the demands, potentials and risks of modern work life from various perspectives ranging from the individual cell to the entire workplace. IFADO conducts multidisciplinary research with the overarching goal to provide benefit and welfare to the working individual and society.
IFADO leads WP2 sustAGE user-centered framework definition and will contribute in the analysis of different factors from the working environment that impact on OSH and wellbeing and assess whether the recommendations of the system have a positive or negative impact on the user. IFADO will also contribute to the mental training specifications.
Heraklion Port Authority S.A.
Heraklion Port Authority S.A. manages one of Greece’s twelve most important ports and is a founding member of the Hellenic Ports Association. The Port of Heraklion is the main gate for passenger, cruise and commercial traffic in Crete and the second one in passenger traffic in Greece. The port of Heraklion is certified, in compliance with the ISPS code and all procedures are strictly complied with the ISPS code.
HPA participates at the project as the end-user in transportation and logistics and will be the responsible for the Port use case and the testing and validation phase in the port facilities.
AEGIS IT Research UG (AEGIS)
AEGIS IT RESEARCH UG is a research and development company based in Germany developing and managing innovative IT solutions for numerous business sectors. AEGIS’s areas of expertise include cloud-based enterprise applications, secure and privacy preserving systems, recommender systems, adaptive Big Data management systems and all the lifecycle of IT systems (design, development, deployment, optimisation and maintenance).
AEGIS, as a consulting and software development company with extensive expertise in supporting the design, analysis and integration of mobile applications and data analytics, will lead WP5 sustAGE ICT ecosystem architecture and integration. AEGIS will also be responsible for the implementation of the recommendation engine and employ its extensive experience in the area to guide the integration of existing modules in sustAGE.
University of Augsburg (UAU)
The University of Augsburg (UAU) was founded in 1970. The newly founded Chair of Embedded Intelligence for Health Care and Wellbeing positions itself at the intersection of modern Computer Science and Medicine. The chair pursues research in the field of computationally intelligent, ubiquitous sensing for knowledge-based monitoring of health-related activity, vital parameters, wellbeing, and contextual factors.
UAU will have the role of the Scientific and Technical Manager and will lead WP3 Monitoring and communication technologies. UAU will bring in experience in semantic and sentiment analysis of speech input, multi-modal state and trait estimation and dialog management and will have a lead role in devising the user interaction requirements in WP2. UAU will also actively particiate in the integration of technologies in the composite system (WP5) and the assessment and impact analysis (WP6).
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH)
The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) was founded in 1925 and is today the largest university in the country, with about 80.000 students and 2.300 teaching/research staff. At present, in the Aristotle University there are 10 faculties, consisting of 49 departments. The Laboratory of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (P&RSLab), School of Rural & Surveying Engineering is well known for its research in Remote Sensing, GIS, Essential variables, GEOSS applications development, web visualization tools, dashboard development, big data handling and EO.
AUTH will bring in experience on multi-source localization in indoor and outdoor environments building on EU GNSS signals, GIS geo-databases and sensor signals from the IoT ecosystem. AUTH will contribute in the modules of the monitoring layer and in the sustAGE integration (WP5) and the assessment and impact analysis of the sustAGE system (WP6). AUTH leads WP7 Dissemination, exploitation and sustainability.
Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distancia, (UNED)
Universidad Nacional de Educacin a Distancia, Madrid, Spain (UNED) is the National Distance University in Spain, a public university established in 1972 with a long tradition of teaching and research. UNED campus headquarters are located in Madrid, with a network of 61 Associated Centres (local campuses for tutorials) distributed all over Spain, and Support Centres in 13 countries in Europe (Germany, Belgium, France, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Italy), America (United States, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela) and Africa (Equatorial Guinea).
The Consolidated Research Group on Aging and Neurodegenerative Diseases participated in sustAGE and will be involved in the investigation and analysis of factors related to the cognitive characteristics and wellbeing of the older adults. UNED will further assess the impact of the different interventions developed in sustAGE as part of WP6.
