WCM R&I of CRF is involved as partner and end-user in the sustAGE project (www.sustage.eu), that is a research project funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 program, focused on the issues of sustainable work and active ageing. The activity aims to develop and validate an intelligent solution «person» oriented, with the purpose of optimizing safety, health and well-being at work. This is possible through the monitoring of the operator’s health, personalized recommendations, and real-time information to support the management process of the workforce.

The sustAGE system works through a IoT ecosystem made up of environmental sensors, stereo cameras for tracking postures and user actions, location sensors, smartwatches for measuring physiological parameters (heart beat) and for transmitting notifications to users, smartphones to communicate with the smartwatch and to support the user interface app. The system performs both in indoor and outdoor environments, follows closely the status and actions of users in a discreet and privacy-friendly way, and also provides personalized recommendations based on the context (space, time, activity).

WCM R&I of CRF takes part in the validation of the prototype with an application case study realized in Campus Melfi, where it has been recreated a real-like section of the door unit assembly line

WCM R&I of CRF is particularly involved in the issues of safety and improvement of the working environment, through several collaborative projects within the European context. The skills acquired by collaborating with a wide European network of technological partners allow us to offer experience and professionalism in the evaluation and implementation of these innovative solutions
